Welcome to the jrawio blog

Hello. This is the inaugural post for the new jrawio blog, that comes at the end of a major effort to bring new life to the project. Here you will see posted topics related to the world of "camera raw" files and their development by means of jrawio (while the "News" section will be only focused on short announcements).

What we did in the last month is a complete rebuild of the software factory that creates jrawio:

In addition to the previous stuff, we are using also sample files from RawSamples and the RAWPository, that make it possible to support even more camera models (we are working to catch up with the industry as jrawio lacked support for models in the latest year).

Also, we are thinking about the future. In parallel with the standard issue fixing, development has started for the new 1.6 release, which will bring some introductory programmatic control of the postprocessor, and the 2.0 release, which will bring at last guaranteed quality for the postprocessor and an extensive API to control it from within an image manipulation application.

So please stay tuned and eventually subscribe to our blog RSS feed. Thanks!
